Dispositivo Señuelo
Dispositivo funcional diseñado para distraer la atención, al momento de estar frente a una acción delictual, que tenga por objetivo dañar o extraer del dispositivo telemático y/o de posición (GPS), para interrumpir su correcto funcionamiento.
Características
El Dispositivo Decoy es un componente electrónico el cual es conectado al dispositivo telemático GO de Geotab, y energizado a una fuente de energía del vehículo. Cuenta con una tarjeta integrada y una lógica funcional la cual, ante la interrupción de energía, genera un pulso eléctrico el cual al estar conectado a la unidad GO, permite transmitir dicho pulso a la plataforma Geotab permitiendo disponer de un evento en forma temprana.
Funcionalidad
El Dispositivo señuelo tiene como funcionalidad principal, emitir una señalar de alerta temprana a través del dispositivo GO a la plataforma Geotab, cuando es intervenido su conexionado, o cuando es anulada su energía. En forma complementarias, dispone de un módulo (opcional), que permite además cortar la corriente al vehículo o anular la bomba de inyección de combustible, con el propósito de inmovilizar el vehículo. De esta manera, entregar una alerta temprana, sin perder la trazabilidad de posición del GPS, y anular el posible desplazamiento del vehículo.
Entre las opciones disponibles de acción sobre el vehículo se encuentran el corte de combustible, corte eléctrico o anulación de la ignición luego que el apagado el motor. Todas estas opciones dependerán de la definición del cliente, aspectos técnicos, comerciales y/o de seguridad.

In a standard installation, it is recommended that decoy device be kept far from the GP by Geotab device, in a visible and easy-to-access location, so that the device can carry out the objective it was designed for.

The device(s) must be well installed and fixed, in order to avoid possible faults caused by movements or vibrations from operation of the vehicle.

Once installed, it’s very important not to intervene with the installed device, keeping its location and condition appropriate, maintaining it’s correct function and operation.

The device(s) do not require preventative maintenance by the client nor the provider. Only in case of defects will there need to be corrective action carried out.
Characteristics
The decoy device is an electric component which is connected to the telematics device GO by geotab, energized from an electric source in the vehicle. It has an integrated card and functional logic, meaning that before the energy interruption, it generates an electric pulse, which if connected to the Geotab device, will allow the transmission of the electric pulse to the platform. In turn, this will allow an early event to be set.
